Benahavis

BENAHAVIS is the wealthiest municipality of Costa del Sol and boasts of having the best public school of the coast. The village itself is a picturesque whitewashed mountain village overlooking the Guadalmina River with its narrow cobbled streets that still keep the original Moorish layout. There are pretty houses, some shops and a simply amazing choice of restaurants. It is known locally as the ‘Rincón de la Gastronomía’ or the ‘gastronomic corner’ of the Costa del Sol. Benahavis is in many ways one of Andalucia’s best kept secrets. It is situated just 7 km inland from the main coast road, immediately west of San Pedro de Alcántara and only a few minutes from Marbella and Puerto Banus. For the golfer Benahavis offer a huge choice of courses within a short distance.
